Colonel James Braddock is an American officer who spent seven years in a North Vietnamese POW camp, then escaped 10 years ago. After the bloodiest war, Braddock accompanies a government investigation team that goes to Ho Chi Minh City to check out reports of Americans still held prisoner. Braddock gets the evidence then travels to Thailand, where he meets Tuck, an old Army buddy turned black market kingpin. Together, they launch a mission deep into the jungle to free the American POWs from General Trau. Written by

After the studio viewed both films, this was easily deemed the better of the two films because it was well shot by Director Joe Zito and more action oriented as compared to Lance Hool's Missing in Action 2: The Beginning (1985), which really paled in comparison in terms of overall quality by many in the studio. So they flip flopped the order with the intention of saving/redeeming Hool's film and the strategy proved to be a financial success and the birth of a franchise. See more »

I saw this on TV and still somehow feel like I'm owed a monetary refund.
Of course that may be in part because I'm a fan of the Rambo series and am offended by cheap knock-offs. Actually I'd like to see a Celebrity death match with Rambo and Braddock, though it wouldn't be much of a fight.
And then there's good old Chuck Norris, who for some reason a few people find entertaining, but honestly, the greatest entertainment he gives me is the "Chuck Norris Facts".
This film is pretty easy to laugh at though, but I don't think it was meant to be funny. If you don't believe me, just try not to bust a gut when you see the last frame of the movie.
