Trivia

While Harold Faltermeyer did not return to score this film, his song co-producer from the previous franchise entries, Keith Forsey, did produce and co-write a new song. "Keep The Peace", performed by INXS and in the vein of previous Faltermeyer/Forsey "Beverly Hills Cop" songs such as "The Heat Is On" and "Shakedown." See more »

Quotes

Axel: Hey.
Mrs. Todd: I understand that you were with him at the end.
Axel: Yeah, his last words were about you.
Mrs. Todd: That does not sound like my Douglas, Axel. Try again.
Axel: Actually his last words were 'Axel are you on a coffee break, go and get that son of a bitch.' Those were his last words.
Mrs. Todd: That sounds like my Douglas.
Axel: Yeah, sounds like a good idea, too.

This is the REAL sequel.
26 April 1999 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

BHC 2 was a disappointment, I was far happier with #3. In the third Cop installment Eddie Murphy brings the character back and manages to make everything fresh again (not an easy thing to do after 2 previous movies as this character). The plot about stolen mint paper was interesting and the return of Serge was a delight. All in all, this is the sequel that people need to see.
