Re: Love and faithfulness: A reflection
Hi Anh TienZung et al,
My opinion is that the models are never absolute. If a very simple
model can grab a lot of features that would be much better than a complex
model that can give only very few more feature.
I found Arnold excellent but in the most case complicated the situation
unnecessarily for nothing ( I don't mean his two fat books ).
I think Zeeman's model has nothing wrong from math side ( it is too simple).
>From the social sides, mathematicians' opinions are not relevant.
Look, if somebody try to talk of social issues, he is open for criticism.
( Like the Rome club).
Hagen, the promoter of Synergetics was criticized mostly by his physicist
colleagues and not for mistakes from the Physical side but for the results
outside of physics. I think, the general view is that Physics can be done
only BY PHYSICISTS and FOR PHYSICS and MATH can be done by MAT-ians and
FOR MATH.
I am not sure that it is true in general.Anyway, you can talk of
dynamical systems without implications.
Cheers
