The Decision Systems and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (DSAIL) in
the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee currently has a research
assistantship available in the area of decision making and planning
under uncertainty. The assistantship is to fund a student to pursue a
PhD degree in Computer Science, focusing on the above areas.
Qualified candidates must have an excellent academic record; strong
background in mathematics and/or computer science, with some
coursework in probability or statistics; and good command of English
(minimum TOEFL score of 570). The research work will require
theoretical development and translation of the theory into working
software systems. More information on DSAIL can be obtained at
