Re: Re: Re: The Japanese
Hi friend,
Thanks. I agree with you that everything must be checked. Although, I
was taught not only by the textbooks like you said, but I am willing to
revision everything. I think the Japanese people would be also interested
in clarifying the case, if some truths are misunderstood.
I am not an expert in Treaties, but my feeling is that the San Francisco
Treaty is still far from what we would like to see.
With my best regards,
Aiviet

My knowledge about 1945 is that the Japanes Commander in VN ordered to
destroy the rice fields one months before the havest. Military commanders
did a lot of mad things in Wars, so the story is believable for most of
Vnmese. The morality here is that, the action lacked any good intention
for Vnmese people. ( Good intension can be wrong in other cases. It
cannot be considered as judgement, but somehow more excusable).
I would be happy if my knowledge is wrong. In the other case, I think an
official apology is not so hard to say. Nobody will have face to put a
condition on such a noble action.
Sorry if I make you feel offended.
