Re: Japan in WWII
Dear friends,
I am following this thread with interest. I think it is something worth
discussing and clarifying. However, it is also a quite delicate
matter and it has the potentials to upset many people. For example, many
VNSA members in Japan may feel uncomfortable seeing a nasty showdown
about what the Japanese did or did not in WWII Vietnam. Also, our member
Mr. Tsuchikawa may find that he is unfairly treated if the civil
discussions degenerated into a match of emotional shoutings. He
certainly can't outshout us, and we enjoy the advantage of the home team.
So it is important that we keep our heads cool; and keep the discussions
civil, stick-to-the-fact, and clarification-oriented. We are here to
learn from each other. If for whatever reasons we feel that we
can't, then it is better to stop the discussions, in my humble opinion.
As one of the admins, I have tried very hard in always staying civil,
refraining from calling names, and not throwing accusations around, even when
emotionally I was at the boiling point and I know that I am rightfully angry.
I hope very much that you all will support my and other admins' effort in
this direction, and thus keep our common forum a civil place in which we can
all enjoy our time and learn from each other. Thank you very much for your
help and understanding.
Sincerely, AnHai.
