Party members not allowed to do private capitalist business

Truong Tan Sang reaffirmed: Party members not allowed to do private
capitalist business

HCMC Party Chief Truong Tan Sang reaffirmed that Party members are not
permitted to run private capitalist businesses as is clearly stated in the
Vietnam Communist Party rules.

Mr. Sang, also a member of the Party's Politburo, said Party members
should maintain the class nature of the Party and ensure the development
of the country in the direction of socialism, reported Sai Gon Giai Phong,
voice of Party Unit.

In the process of reforms, Party members have to reiterate their belief in
the country's renovation policy and the Party's leading role as well as
display their spirit of responsibility before the Party and the masses, he
said at a city Party conference held on April 24-28.

Above all, he noted, Party cells and members should continue to pursue
reforms to ensure the cause of developing the country in general and the
city in particular.

He said Party cells and other organizations in the city should thoroughly
implement the two strategic tasks of developing and defending the nation
and recognize the public's important role in maintaining the country's
political stability.
