Free or shareware spell checkers for Latex on PC (ispell, jspell,
laspell and many other) 
may be found at sunsite archives. Check your local sunsite node. The
nearest to you
should be sunsite.anu.edu.au.

As for commercial packages for Latex on PC, Scientific Word from TCI
Software
(www.tcisoft.com) would be a good pick. It is a WYSIWYG MS-Word-like
editor that allows you
to make very neat Latex stuffs without defining a single macro.
Everything is as friendly
as in MSWord 6.
