As far as I remember the actual capitulation (I mean the signing of the
treaty ....) took place in May 8 1945. Moscow decided to declare the next
day (May 9) as Victory Day (Den pobedy). In subsequent years people
commemorate the Victory Day in May 9.

Marshal Zukhov 4 times got the tittle " Hero of USSR". The only other guy
who also got it 4 times was Leonid Brejnev
