Vietnamese woman cuts off attempted rapist's ear 

HANOI (AFP) - A Vietnamese woman was forced by her husband to cut off
the ear of a neighbour who attempted to rape her, the Lao Dong
newspaper reported Friday.

The man, Truong Duc, was lured to the house after the woman told her
husband about the assault.

She was ordered to cut off of his right ear with a pair of scissors as
the husband and his brother held him down, the paper said.

He fainted from loss of blood and was taken to hospital.
