I LUV JUVE!
Hi there,

I was very sad after this final. As a fan of artistic football, I was
too shocked to see how German soccer has become a dominating factor
of this game in Europe. They had won the European title, the Footballer
of the Year, the UEFA cup, and now the European Cup -- all in one season,
and frankly I think they never deserved what they have achieved so far.
In today match, Dortmund had 3 goal attempts, and they scored 3 goals.
Juve, on the other hand, had 13 goal attempts, one beautiful and
unbelievable goal from Del Piero; they hit the bars twice, had one
goal disallowed, and totally dominated the match. And I'm still not
talking about a few very suspicious fouls inside the box that might have
cost the Germans some penalties. The Italians also captivated
the supporters with their beautiful combinations and tricks in an
attacking game that thrilled me and many people over the match. Zidane
and Boksic and De Livio had made fools out of the Germans many times.
But, sadly enough, they missed one important thing: LUCK!
Don't get me wrong! Riedle's goals and particularly the one from
Ricken were very nice and convincing, but that's all. Those goals
were highly individual. However, as a team, the German side was
a big zero, except probably for their defensive line. It seems to me
that it was a typical luck for the Germans lately: think about their
struggle in the European Championship lats summer; they needed
luck badly to overcome Italy, England, or even Czech Republic
in the final. They needed luck badly in the semifinal in the Old
Trafford again Manchester United. And they needed it today, too!

I don't think that Hitzfeld was expecting such a thing. It's sports,
and you need luck, too. The Fortuna has played for the Germans this
evening. But why always for them?
Long live Juventus! Crush the Germans next season!
It's a sad day for people who love real soccer ...
Peace!
