San Francisco/ Silicon Valley/ Broadway (to Bac Ca)
Dear Ca, we gonna miss you. I will cc you stories as you aksed.
If you are going to stay long over here in the US, don't forget to find a
chance to drop by us in Seattle.
If you wanna find a cheap and clean place to stay in San Francisco,
consider Motel 6, the cost has gone up lately to around $50 / night.
You will have a huge bed and bathroom. You can add a second person for
only $1.
Don't forget to visit San Jose, the capital of Silicon Valley. Try the
"chim cu't nu+o+'ng" at one of the numerous Vietnamese restaurants down
there, it's my favorite appetizer.
San Fransisco has many, many things worth visiting. You will find them
in travel guide books, so I don't enumerate them here. Just a personal
advice: stay away from Broadway! :-)
An experienced member of the DHS community in Seattle told me that when he
visited SF, he got the same advice from the locals. The locals said that
(gals, please do not read any thing beyond this point, you have been
warned!) if you drop a coin on Broadway, you should try to kick it into
the next street. Only then should you bow down and pick up the coin; if
you try to pick up the coin on Broadway, the capital of gays, you will be
.... :-)
Have a nice trip,
Hai.
