        2 or 3 papers is OK for a PhD thesis. I have seen theses which have
only "in press" papers or even no papers. Some only have abstracts.

        This is a typical industrial viewpoint!

        There are ideas which are 20 years ahead of industrial application.
Also, there are ideas which are expensive, not cost-benefit for industry.

no between, guy! Decide now: what do you want? fame or money? not both.
