Journal ranking & Is number of papers important?
Hello Tha`nh,
According to the 1995 Journal Citation Report, the ranking of the
journals that you want is as follows:
Rank Impact factor Note
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Energy Economics Not make to the list
Energy Policy 10 0.635
Energy Study Review Not make to the list
The Energy Journal Not make to the list
Energy Sources 36 0.185 Not make to the list
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The number 1 journal in the field is Chem Phys Carbon which has an
impact factor of 3.25, not high, but OK. Other journals: are you sure you
have got the name right? otherwise, I can not see them in the journal at all.
For Math guys, I have not seen Math Rev in the list, presumbaly
because it has very low impact factor, did not make it. It is interesting to
note that the number 1 journal in math is Acta Math-Djursholm, number 2 is
Math USSR SB+, American math journals were behind these.
For medicine, the number 1 is New England J of Medicine, Number 2 is
Lancet and number 3 is Annals of Internal Medicine.
Anyone wants more ranking?
Tuan
