Re: Theory Control/ or the battle women vs men

Talking of adaptive control, I remember a famous writer (Lawrence
perhaps) who in a series of essays on love and life has written something
like this: The most trouble of women is that, they always go on trying
to *adapt* themselves to men's theory of women. When a woman is truly
herself, she is what her type of men wants her to be. When a woman is
hysterical, it is because she doesn't know what to be, which pattern
she should follow, which her man's picture of women to live up with.
In this sense, women have a great ability in adaptive control. The only
factor that makes them possess this ability is not that women do not
have their mind; in fact they do have everything men have plus their desire
to ask for a pattern their men would set out.

To be fair, the essay is not in men's favor neither. Especially modern
men. ( We are modern aren't we?). The problem is when it comes after
the marriage. The man tends to change his desired pattern. Before,
what he wanted is a "a'o ti'm Hue^'" and he got it. Now he hates it
and he might want another type, be it the lioness of Ha` Ddo^ng, or whatever.
This has happened for a while and it has now been transforming into a 
disaster for modern men.    

The real trouble of men is that, now they don't know which pattern of women
they desire. Modern men become fools. Modern women are not. In fact, 
they are well aware about the foolness of modern men, especially hysterical
young men (like me :-)). They are aware about the disillusion of men about
women.  Women know that they have to live up to a certain pattern, the one her
type of men wants her to be. The difference is that, modern women are now able
to use their distinctive weapon - the ability of adaptive control - to 
change the desired pattern of her foolish men. Sadly, slowly and slowly
they have become the ones who change the taste of us. In summing up, I
would say that today, women have everything we men have, plus the desire
of asking for a pattern, plus the ability to use adaptive control to
change the desired patter of their men. 

God! How uncreative the world would grow to be. What a disaster for the 
mankind. We have been put in an immediate defensive position!
