Applications are invited for a two-year post funded by the Leverhulme Trust to
work on a project concerning rural credit innovations in Vietnam and
implications for womens credit access.  The researchers responsibilities will
include  coordinating and carrying out interview-based fieldwork in three rural
locations in Vietnam , under the supervision  of the project director, Ms Sonja
Ruehl.  The projects local base will be the National Economics University,
Hanoi.

Applicants  should ideally hold a PhD, have a working knowledge of Vietnamese,
experience of working in Vietnam either in a research or a voluntary-sector
capacity, and an interest in rural credit institutions. A disciplinary
background in anthropology or economics would be relevant, and familiarity with
anthropological fieldwork methods is required. Informal enquiries are welcomed.
