Le Phuong Lien: apology and update

Hi, friends,

In my account reports yesterday, I made the mistake of listing many
contributions as being "from the USA". What I meant to say was that
those contributions are from those in the US  -  AND  -  those sending
money to the account in US dollars. Some VNSA members have called my
attention to this and I sincerely apologize to all I have offended.
Please be easy on me, I am learning this new fundraising thing as we go
along :-)

Now, the fun part: Le Phuong Lien is scheduled to arrive in the US
tomorrow, Wednesday, July 16. I will be flying to the city where her
hospital is tomorrow to greet her and help with admitting her to the
hospital and settling her mother in. I will be using my own money for
this trip. While there, I will also try to find Phuong Lien's mother an
inexpensive place to stay close to the hospital. We have commitment from
a kind person to put Phuong Lien's mother up while she is here, but his
home is about an hour drive from the hospital. As you can see, they
still need a lot of help financially, so please keep the contributions
coming. Watch the web site sometime next week for pictures.
