VN/VNA: ASSOCIATION OF OVERSEAS VIETNAMESE ENTREPRENEURS LICENSED IN HO CHI MINH CITY

VIET NAM AIRLINES INSTALLS DEPARTURE CONTROL SYSTEMS

Ha Noi, Oct.  19 (VNA) -- Viet Nam Airlines is installing Departure
Control Systems (DCS) in Tan Son Nhat Airport and Gia Lam Flight Control
Centre. 

The systems will help the aviation industry quickly complete check-in
procedures for passengers and goods, easily check all information
relating to passengers' tickets, booking and other services. 

DCS will also help process quickly and accurately data and information
on each flight, replacing intermediaries as currently applied at Viet
Nam's airports. 

Viet Nam Airlines plans to install such DCS's in Noi Bai Airport and
central Da Nang Airport in 2000.--VNA

ASSOCIATION OF OVERSEAS VIETNAMESE ENTREPRENEURS LICENSED IN HO CHI MINH
CITY

Ha Noi, Oct.  19 (VNA) - An association of overseas Vietnamese
entrepreneurs in Ho Chi Minh City was granted operation permit on Oct. 
18. 

The organization, aims to encourage overseas Vietnamese to contribute to
their homeland's socio-economic development, will provide information
and support to fellow overseas Vietnamese entrepreneurs in doing
business in Viet Nam.  Another objective of the association is to
promote economic cooperation between countries having citizens of
Vietnamese origin with Viet Nam. 

At present, Ho Chi Minh City has more than 200 production and business
establishments run by overseas Vietnamese.--VNA
