The Chinese prime minister, Zhu Rongji, is due set off on a four-nation
tour of Asia. 

He'll be visiting Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam. 

His trip will take in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations' summit
in the Philippines' capital, Manila, at the end of the month. 

Officials in Beijing say Mr Zhu will be discussing various issues during
his trip, including Asia's recovery from recession.
