Funny and provocative, Boy Meets Girl vividly captures the giddy excitement, sexual heat, and inherent heartache of "non-traditional" love in a small town. Ricky (Michelle Hendley) is a 21-year-old trans girl living in Kentucky. Her only real friend, straight-laced Robby, has been her trusty, totally platonic, confidant for over 15 years. Her day job slinging lattes is merely a stepping-stone toward her goal of being a famous New York designer. She's confident, cool, and completely ready for something new-and then her world is transformed when an enchanting debutante saunters into her life. Triggering fresh feelings and experiences, this unlikely connection conjures up intense questions about identity while uncovering ghosts from Ricky's past. At the end of the movie, when Ricky (Michelle Hendley) said goodbye to her father, there's a line that he says "That kid of mine has been throwing me curve balls my whole life. But luckily, I played baseball." This is actually a direct quote from her (Michelle Hendley) real dad. See more »

I just want to say this film it truly beautiful and truly worth the watch..... The acting is brilliant by all of the cast but I have to say Michelle Hendley is outstanding.... I would definitely recommend this.... It shows you the struggles of life in a lot of different situations, it grasps the fact that people shouldn't judge and it reflects this perfectly and it such a lovely way that it would make you reach out for the Kleenex. I have watched films in the past that have had a good beginning and middle but have completely flaked at the end however this movie draws you in and does not disappoint with a perfect ending. If you are looking for a feel good film then this is it, I never really rated the guy when he was in twilight but I must say he excels himself in the lead role role in this movie.... Enjoy ;)
