A group of women in Morocco make a living as prostitutes in a culture that is very unforgiving toward women in that profession.
I Will not talk about what the movie promotes , is it bad or good because it simply promotes nothing and have nothing to promote. But "The script is really exaggerated.. like they are swearing in the misplaced moment and time.. like if they wanna say oh prostitution is all about swearing.. there are prostitutes who don't swear and they have deeper character..educated and have cultural background.. but lacks opportunities like 99% of the Moroccan youth. They are victims to "bak sahbi" hierarchy (Nepotism and Patronage) that rules in almost every domain.what the movie fails to show. the Moroccan cinema needs a lot of work and a redefining of what daily Moroccan reality is..aside from taking a pre-made conception about it. unfortunately the film is modest in the creative side." Which validates the claim that the movie is made to please Europeans whom by historical facts enjoy to watch the dirty side of this country, counting many pejorative books and movies like ''le Pain nu '', "les yeux secs" and many others. Nabil ayouch was in fact the only prostitute in this movie, he rises to nothing but the price of the best 'cock sucker' for being a shallow fame seeker with little to no creative flame inside, crying for the approval from the Canne jury and the money that goes with it.
