This movie is classified as a "romance" and a "comedy". I wouldn't call it a romantic movie because there were only little bits of romance in the movie, romance you can find in many movies not considered romantic.
Anyway, this movie is about a guy named Wade (Craig Robinson) who wants to propose to his girlfriend Grace (Kerry Washington), so he randomly shows up at her families house... which is the setting of the most of the movie. Basically Grace has never introduced Wade to her parents, and well... she has actually never mentioned Wade to her family - so when he pops in and introduced himself as "Wade", they are oblivious to who he is. Grace's father is very "high class" and what I would consider an adult-snob... whereas the other family members are more laid-back and chill. So throughout the movie Wade is trying to figure out when the best time to propose to Grace is... and of course problems and events occur throughout the movie. So that's the basic plot.
Was the movie funny? There were a few funny moments, but it wasn't like I was bursting out laughing throughout the movie... nonetheless, the movie was alright and fairly entertaining. There was little "romance" in the movie and a very minuscule amount of "drama". It's a very light- hearted movie as well. It was worth watching, although I wouldn't recommend the movie to my friends to watch.
