A gunfire ensued and the entire nation witnessed the most talked about daylight encounter lasting 6 hours that transformed suburban Mumbai into a virtual war zone. The movie has a big star-cast but short on acting. The movie is based on rumor. This is the underworld of Mumbai Bhai's akin to the Mafia. The movie is a a long flash back defending the action of the Inspector of police where his modus operandi is questioned. The movie is one time watch for the action-ruthless and daring among the factions. Extortion is norm and payoff is spent on dance bars and biriyani. The movie that I really appreciated was "Chandni Bar" which shares similarities in a way but really well directed by Madhur Bhandarkar who seems to have some kind of hold on the Mumbai sub-culture. Inspite of the high priced above the line cast-there is not much scope for acting by any one in particular and no one really stand out nor make any dent. This is not a movie that I would brag about.
