Just saw this at a preview screening with our church and it blew all of us away. I literally left feeling exhilarated and amazed....if this movie doesn't renew your faith in a real God, then nothing will.
As a pastor, I was concerned if it ignored God like the previous Bible films recently released, and I was surprised that it reads like the Word from beginning to end. What makes the film are all the heart-wrenching moments that make you believe in God's great promise for those who seek the truth!
Everything comes to life. David, his brothers, Goliath. The incredible epic locations. It's filled with tension, but offers the greatest climax in the end of any film I've seen - I can't say truthfully it's the film itself, but God's hand on the film is evident. This is God's film and it's so much more evident this time around than the other lousy Bible movies that came out. I give it a 9 out of 10 easily...
