His assistant in gun related coma, guilt stricken private investigator Jack Taylor leaves Galway for Dublin where he helps a young girl whose mother has been murdered.
Incorrigible boor Jack Taylor is fired from the Garda (Irish national police) for brutality against a government minister. His experience, some contacts and cheap rates get him started as private eye in all but name, assisted by his even less law-abiding buddy, painter Sutton. Anne Henderson hires him, suggesting her missing teenage daughter was the latest in a series of suspicious 'suicides', which he traces to sleazy manager Ford's factory and illegal sex recordings. That turns out only the tip of the iceberg, even before Jack is beaten badly and old publican Sean is fatally run over. Written by

Painful, Painful, Painful..... Can we not make every Protagonist of every Irish story, to be a, stupid, drunk, pathetic person. Please, Bloody Please...Watched with a lot of pain, every bloody episode, hoping that it would get better, no reprieve here. Every episode-story line was poor, the closest they came was the Magdalene story, but in the end could not resolve it. What an opportunity of a story to do something remarkable. FAILED!!!!
Pain is over. Not going to watch anymore of the new episodes. The only redeeming feature are the lovely sights of Galway city and coastal lines. Just disappointed. - Joy
