Laurie and Hugh are a successful young couple who have just closed on a weekend home away from the city. Unbeknownst to them, the neighboring property contains the crumbling remains of a boarding school that was shuttered in the wake of an unspeakable massacre. The sole survivor of that massacre still resides in the ruins of the school, hiding from the world and wanting only to be left alone. When Laurie and Hugh's friends explore the property, they have no idea that they disturbed an emotionally-broken killing machine: The Blood Widow. Written by

For a slasher, this isn't terrible. It's actually somewhat decent considering its weak production. It's stuffed with clichés, as most horrors/slashers are, this being about a bunch of young adults who go out to this faraway location where their cell phones don't work, and a killer is in the vicinity. Haven't heard that one before, now have ya?
Most people pick on this movie because of its poor acting, lighting, sound, etc. These by no means are of top notch quality, but obviously this movie wasn't granted the biggest budget in the world, and I can tell that the people who made this were really trying with what they were given.
I'm torn on the acting part. The actors here are either decent, mediocre, or terrible. Danielle Lilley was surprisingly convincing, whereas Christopher de Padua had a scene in which I didn't know whether to laugh at, or roll my eyes.
In all, I've seen many horror movies incredibly worse than this with much higher ratings/budgets. I would only recommend this movie to people who truly enjoy slasher movies, and no one else.
