A closer view of the town hall.

(TOM) After a couple of hours we were all tired. Katharina and Jana went to buy some woman items (they didn't tell us what), so Eliot and I sat down in front of the big town hall in a beer garden. I didn't really feel like a beer. Unfortunately Eliot didn't know how to say, "We don't feel like having a beer Mr. German waiter man", but Eliot knew, "Two dark beers please." So thats what we had.

We heard that every hour the clock on the town hall puts on a show. Its kind of like a giant cuckoo clock. The little people you see in the picture are actually human size figures. We waited, but the hour came and went and they never moved. I guess they don't dance every hour.

(ELIOT) I got suckered into tipping the waiter 10 DM extra because I couldn't figure out how to ask for change. 10 DM is about $5 which isn't outrageous until I was informed by Katharina that people don't tip in Germany (except for stupid Americans).
