I did the Erickson Cycle Tours French Alps tour -- it was a great trip!
Note: I mean to eventually have a trip diary with more details here, but for now I just have links to some of my photos, organized by day except for most of the photos of the people on the tour.
Monday, July 12: Geneva (Ferney-Voltaire).
Tuesday, July 13: Ferney-Voltaire to Eloise; climbed the Col du Faucille.
Wednesday, July 14: Eloise to Champagneux; climbed Mont de Corsuet and Mont Tournie.
Thursday, July 15: Champagneux to Rencurel; climbed the Col de al Croix des Mille Martyrs and the Col de Romeyere.
Friday, July 16: stayed in Rencurel; I did a rest day.
Saturday, July 17: Rencurel to Chichiliane; climbed a tiny road into the national park above Les Brunets, the Col de Rousset, and the Col de Menee.
Sunday, July 18: Chichiliane to Bourg d'Oisons; climbed the Col St Sebastien and the Col d'Ornon.
Monday, July 19: stayed in Bourg d'Oisons; climbed Alpe d'Huez, the Col de Sarenne, and and unnamed climb on the cornice road back to Bourg d'Oisons.
Tuesday, July 20: Bourg d'Oisons to Albiez le Jeune; climbed the Col du Glandon, but descended the Col de la Croix de Fer; climbed the Col du Mollard.
Wednesday, July 21: Albiez le Jeune to Albertville; climbed the Col de la Madeleine.
Thursday, July 22: stayed in Albertville; climbed the Col de Tamie and watched the Tour de France there.
Friday, July 23: Albertville to Talloires; climbed the Col des Aravis, the Col de la Croix-Fry, the Col de la Forclaz, and some unnamed ~500 m climb on a detour.
Saturday, July 24: stayed in Talloires; I did a rest day.
Sunday, July 25: Talloires to Ferney-Voltaire; climbed Mont Saleve.
