On the way up the Port de Bales. This was a really long climb. Officially it's something like 19 km, but I think there's at least 5 km of climbing out of the valley before you hit the "official" start of the climb. The first half or so of the climb is pretty easy (something like 3-5%), but the for the last 9-10 km there are sections of 10%. For me it was probably the third-hardest climb of the trip, after the Port de Larrau and the Port de Boucharo. This is a loop from Gesset on day 10.
