    Must have ADO(.Net) book

The authors grasp what ADO is and should be is spot on. It is obvious this author has a lot of experience working with data, and in particular data in VB. The book has a lot of very specific samples, not generic ones, and they actually work! I have searched for an authoritative reference for ADO.Net, but this book also covers what the author refers to as ADOc, or ADO classic. It also covers using ADO classic in the .NET framework, and when it would be appropriate to do so! All the ADO objects are defined, discussed, examples are given to demonstrate functionality, and best practices and common trouble areas are well covered. All this in a writing style that has just the right amount of humor to keep the topic interesting. If you are looking for the best ADO(.Net) reference and how to guide, you have found it.
