Editorial Reviews

Booknews
New edition of a reference that presents DB2 from the programmer's point of view. It teaches how to develop programs that access, add, delete, or update the data in one or more DB2 tables and then expands on these basic skills to cover data protection considerations (such as error handling and locking techniques); how to manipulate DB2 data using column and scalar functions and subqueries; how to handle the complications caused by variable-length data and null values in DB2 tables; and finally, how to develop programs interactively (using DB21) or in batch, including how to test and debug programs using SPUFI and QMF to create test data.
