I have been building applications in Access for 12 years, and I found this book to be an excellent reference and addition to what I have learned on my own. Not only does it cover the basics, but I especially appreciate that it does an in-depth introduction to newer subjects such as ribbon customization, class modules, XML features. This is not a rehash of an old book but a most current resource. Indispensable reference if you want to write systems for general use.
