I, too, 'survive' with this book

I've used this book as a reference for 6 months now. It's contained information on nearly everything I've needed, plus has lots of good tips. I keep it very handy. It's good as an introduction/reference for those familiar with SQL, but is not for gurus or newbies. I've met several people who use it as much as I do.

    I 'Survived' with this book!

This is an excellent book for Sql Server 7 DBA's. I've been working as a Sql Server 7 DBA for one year and this book has been my companion ever since. Most of the issues I encountered were resolved with assistance from the very informative chapters, esp. 9, 26 & 32. The book even provided some background on client/server and DB Administration in general and some interesting history on Sql Server 7. Not a book for beginners........
