David Fitzjarrell is a Senior Oracle Database Administrator living in the Denver/Boulder area of Colorado. He has over 23 years experience in various industries, and is currently working with Exadata in a large-scale, OLTP and ERP retail environment. He started with Oracle Version 6.0, and has worked with almost every release since, concentrating on the areas of physical administration and performance tuning. David is the Social Media Director for the Rocky Mountain Oracle Users Group, contributes monthly articles for databasejournal.com, participates in various Oracle forums and newsgroups and writes an Oracle-centric blog at http://dfitzjarrell.wordpress.com.

Mary Mikell Spence is a Senior Oracle Database Administrator living in the Atlanta, Georgia Metropolitan area. She has worked in the IT field for 30 years. She started her Oracle career with Oracle 6 in 1993, working in a soup-to-nuts environment doing data modeling, database installation, development, and testing. She started working with Oracle ERP systems in 2000 as a part of a team migrating from 10.7 to 11i of the application suite, and from database version 8i to 9i. She is currently working on another migration for an ERP system moving a multi-terabyte database from 10.2.0.4 on HP to 11.2.0.3 on Exadata.
