As someone who knew very little about GoldenGate going in, I found this book to be a great resource for getting up to speed on the product. I really enjoyed the fact that I was able to come away with a working setup of GoldenGate. The fact that the book walks you through a step-by-step process of installing and configuring the product was extremely valuable to me. Now I'll be able to take this knowledge and use it to help my customers.
