    Well-written but..

    This book is for people who want to refresh their memory and also learn PL/SQL. Although I have to say that PL/SQl is only 1/4 of the entire book. Other than that I think the author has done a good job with using simple english language.

    Oracle PL/SQL 101 By: Christopher Allen

    JOB WELL DONE Mr. Christopher Allen!! This is the MOST helpful book to me on Oracle PL/ SQL that I have ever seen in Silicon Valley area! I have spent many months browsing and buying books on Oracle from almost all bookstores in the bay area, but this book is the only one that helped me. I am very thankful for that.     Very well written

    The author is an excellent writer. He tells you in the introduction who he had in mind when he wrote the book(his wife), so you are able to see how well it is truly written. He used excellent examples to follow. Unlike the ORACLE8 pl/sql by Urman, this book is so straightforward, doesn't take you from point a to point d, very well organized. It doesn't waste anytime getting you from entry level to mid level programming. Excellent for beginners or those who want an introduction to PL/Sql. I wish other writers would learn something from Allen. We are human beings who speak english not machines speaking computer talk.

    The first PL/SQL title that makes things clear!

    I've read a couple of other PL/SQL books, and sure I learned some things, but a lot of things didn't make sense. I just got PL/SQL 101, and everything I look up that I didn't understand before, has a clear explanation in this book that makes perfect sense. I'm going to buy more copies for the rest of the people in my department...mine won't stay on my desk.
