Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Borland's Paradox is a basic relational database for ordinary PC users. This book treats the reader as a database and Paradox novice. Nearly the first half works on making you comfortable with creating a database and entering data; thankfully, there is just enough imaginary raw data to give you a sense of accomplishment. The second part teaches readers how to extract information from their files, sort data, design reports and forms, and invent graphs. A glossary at the end helps with terms from Active to Workspace and everything in between. If you know something about databases and nothing about Paradox, you might find Wolf and Wheeler's approach to be a little to rudimentary. If you're completely ignorant about databases, need a place to start, and own Paradox, you'll find Paradox for Windows educational and useful, without a bit of condescension. --Edward J.
