Practical Business Analytics Using SAS: A Hands-on Guide shows SAS users and businesspeople how to analyze data effectively in real-life business scenarios.

Part one of the book is an introduction to SAS programming. The authors—all SAS, statistics, analytics, and big data experts—first show how SAS is used in business, and then how to get started programming in SAS by importing data and learning how to manipulate it. Besides illustrating basic functions, including macros, you will see how each function can be used to get the information you need to improve business performance. The part ends with an extensive case study from the telecommunications industry.

Part two is all about how to use SAS to perform analytics and modeling using both basic and advanced techniques. It introduces you to the data analysis tools in SAS, provides an overview of statistical techniques and reporting, and covers both regression analysis and machine learning, among other topics. Again, each chapter offers hands-on exercises drawn from real business situations.
