    This book is very helpful!

Yes, there are several omissions, but overall I found this book to be one of my best references. I'm a Foxpro/Access/VBA programmer that is very new to the web application development field. The Master/Detail data form was especially helpful. My other Visual Interdev, ASP textbooks are very general in subject matter. I needed to learn how to manipulate databases ASAP. This book enabled me to do so. I would strongly suggest it to a friend.

    Missing files

I have only just started using this book, and like others, find it extremely annoying when files are missing. When you make a purchase, one assumes that all the relevant materials are available to the reader. In this case, the authors must have fallen a sleep when proofing this book as the first lesson fails due to a missing database file. (what other files missing or anomalies are there in this book)

    This book is awful!!

I wasn't even able to get through the first chapter without screen shots being incorrect. In the first chapter, it was also realized that supporting files were missing. This is definately NOT a good book for InterDev beginners! I wish I would have read the last review prior to making this purchase.. I'm definately returning this one!

Poorly edited, poorly written, missing supporting file

As a newcomer to Visual Interdev, I'd hoped this book would provide useful basic instruction. I've just begun using the book and in the first few PAGES experienced frustration. The book says, 'For this book there is an MDB database called STYDBVI6.MDB' (located on the accompanying CD). Guess what? After a futile search of the files, IT IS NOT THERE! Style of writing is too compressed--confusing for beginners, insufficient information for the experienced. This book appears to be hastily assembled, not properly edited, and DOES NOT INCLUDE file(s?) required for use. Keyword for this book: FRUSTRATION.
