The Consultant's Guide to SAP SRM/EBP Configuration and Programming

The heavy integration and amount of technical knowledge required to master SAP's SRM/EBP product is staggering, but also makes configuring and programming a challenge. Now, for the first time, a world class SAP consultant reveals his "secret handshake" solutions to real-world configuration and progarmming tasks in SAP/SRM EBP, and SAP Business Workflow. Much more than just a rehash of system documentation and training, the author explores topics and techniques that are simply not covered, or not covered as clearly, elsewhere. From implementing the basic system to debugging the most involved problems, dozens of examples show you just how to do it - or how to do it better!

Key topics include
Little known configuration options

    Strait to Business

I was supprised at first, when I received this book, that the book jumps straight to configuration steps (that proved incredibly invaluable by the way) without much of an overview on SRM. I'm actually using the book on my current project and I have to say, the steps are quite robust and I almost feel guilty that I'm really not having to think about what I'm doing. You may find yourself purposely slowing down the pace of your project if you know what I mean. I can recommend this book and if you need an overview of SRM, the other book this author wrote 'SAP SRM Interview Questions and Answers' is a great tool for an employer (as I suppose it was intended), but a much better one for you. Put these two books together and it's like a Rosetta's Stone for SRM. These offering are really your only choice, so it's nice that they're very good.

This is literally an advanced cookbook. This book is NOT an overview of SRM, rather, it is composed of a configuration guide and also it has a troubleshooting guide. So, I'd say it is intended for someone who is implementing SRM rather than someone who needs an overview of the product.
