Meet the Author

Robin Dewson has been hooked on programming ever since he bought his first computer, a Sinclair ZX80, in 1980. He has been working with SQL Server since version 6.5 and Visual Basic since version 5. Robin is a consultant mainly in the city of London, where he has been for nearly eight years. He also has been developing a rugby-related website as well as maintaining his own site at Fat-Belly.com.

Louis Davidson has been in the IT industry for more than 15 years as a corporate database developer and architect. He has spent the majority of his career working with Microsoft SQL Server, beginning from the early days of version 1.0. He has a bachelor s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in computer science, with a minor in mathematics. Louis is the data architect for Compass Technology (Compass.net) in Chesapeake, Virginia, leading database development on their suite of nonprofit oriented CRM products, built on the Microsoft CRM platform and SQL Server technologies.

Tony Bain is the founder of Tony Bain & Associates. He has worked with SQL Server for the last 6 years, and he is passionate about all database technologies, especially when they relate to enterprise availability and scalability. Tony currently holds the Microsoft Certified System Engineer, Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, and Microsoft Certified Database Administrator certifications.

Chuck Hawkins is a senior consultant and database administrator in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He works for Compass Technology Management, where he manages the daily ups and downs of multiple servers for several large ministries. He has extensive experience in T-SQL programming, replication, performance tuning, developer management, and routine server management. Chuck has spoken at the Professional Association for SQL Server conferences in the United States and the U.K. He has contributed columns to several magazines and was a contributing author to Professional SQL Server 2000 Database Design.
