There are lots of books out there on SQL development and administration, most of which give classroom-like theoretical examples along with textbook solutions. This book is a compilation of SQL Server MVPs who put the theory into practice and know what real-world complications can crop up in that process. Each chapter in this book explores different aspects of SQL Server development, administration, and usage from the perspective of the actual workplace environment.
I have read many books on SQL theory, and I find this book to be a fresh departure from the usual formula.
