"The research interests of the faculty cover a broad
spectrum from very basic to very applied areas in the mathematical
sciences. A number of faculty hold joint appointments or have have working
arrangements with other departments and units on the campus, including the
recently established NSF Engineering Research Center for Computational
Field for Statistical and Mathematical Services at Mississippi State
University. Ample opportunities exist to conduct cross-disciplinary
research."
