"The Statistics Program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is an undergraduate program of study which provides the student with the statistical knowledge necessary to pursue a successful career in business, education, government, or industry. The Statistics Program has two major complimentary areas: (1) Applied Statistics; and (2) Actuarial Science. In the Applied Statistics major, the student studies the various areas of statistics to secure a sound background enabling him/her to work in the areas of quality control, education, insurance, etc. or pursue a graduate degree elsewhere with a solid background in statistical knowledge. The Actuarial Science area offers the course work to enable the student to complete several of the Society of Actuarial examinations at the Associate level."
