Experience

Primality Tests Researcher

University of South Alabama — Mobile, AL · Mentor: Dr. Armin Straub

  • Analyzed computational efficiency across diverse primality testing algorithms, quantifying and comparing pseudoprime distributions using Python.
  • Discovered that restricting detected primes to 2 and 3 rough numbers significantly decreases pseudoprime frequency; won MSEF 2nd Place in System Software and advanced to ASEF.

Robotics Team Programmer

WP Davidson High School — Mobile, AL

  • Programmed robot control routines in RobotC, implementing dual-joystick arcade drive and autonomous line-following algorithms.
  • Simulated robot kinetics using Simscape (Demo) and authored the open-source RobotC Programming Guide for incoming team members.

AI Talent Training Program Fellow

Taiwan Ministry of Digital Affairs & ITRI

  • Led an engineering team to develop a sustainable transit AI assistant by training a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline on Taipei's municipal transportation datasets.
  • Received the Academic Excellence Award, ranking in the top 20 of 4,000 participants.

Interests

Outside of class, I play piano, basketball, and tennis. Musically, I'm a big fan of Jay Chou, and I also listen to a lot of classical work from Chopin and Liszt.

I watch all kinds of movies, from Taiwanese romance films like Secret (Jay Chou) and Those Years, to action and superhero movies including the Spider-Man and Iron Man films, and The Dark Knight along with the rest of Christopher Nolan's filmography.
