Sink syncs your chat histories that you have on different computers. It also does simple maintenance work such as deleting system messages and reformat file names.

Sink 讓您可以同步不同電腦上所儲存的聊天記錄，他也可以幫您清除系統訊息記錄及重新命名記錄檔的簡單維護功能。

How To Use 如何使用：

1. Select two home direcotries
2. Hit Sink button to sync your histories!

• Your chat histories are saved somewhere in your Home directory. Specifically, for iChat it's stored in /Users/yourName/Documents/iChats/. Select two home directories by either type the absolute path or select it with the select button. If you have no idea what a absolute path is, it is easier to click on the select button. what is Home directory...
• The home directory can also be a disk you mount onto your computer (meaning a disk from another computer.) Be careful with what disk you mount; is it a home directory or a root volume. more info on mounting ...
• After you have selected the home directories, you may want to check the preference tab before you hit Sink to sync.

• 您的聊天記錄皆儲存於個人專屬檔案夾的某個地方。 iChat 的聊天記錄儲存於/Users/yourName/Documents/iChats/。請使用選擇"選擇檔案夾“（繁體中文界面）來選擇兩個“個人專屬“檔案夾，或輸入個人專屬的絕對路徑，若您不知道絕對路徑為何。何謂“個人專屬“檔案夾？

• 在選擇完兩個磁碟後，您可至偏好設定裡看看。
  

• Two way Sink copies your files from First Home to Second Home, then copies files from Second Home to First Home. This is syncing, so files will not be duplicated in the same folder.
• The old iChat histories saves the file with the screen name only. The new iChat history saves the screen name plus the time and date of the chat as the file name. Sink can convert all files into the new name format. CAUTION: even in one way sync, both folders' files will be converted.
• AOL System Messages are messages that AOL send to you to warn you something. You may wish to delete the AOL System Messages. They are names as aolsystemmsg in your iChat folder.

• 雙向同步將資料由第一個個人專屬檔案夾拷貝至第二個個人專屬檔案夾後再由第二個個人專屬檔案夾拷貝至第一個個人專屬檔案夾。此為同步動作，已有的檔案不會被再被拷貝一次。
• 舊的 iChat 記錄檔案的名稱為使用者名稱，新的 iChat 記錄檔名稱為使用者名加上您聊天的時間與日期，您 可以使用 Sink 將所以的檔名更改成新的檔名格式。注意：不論是雙向或單向，此選項將更改兩個檔案夾中的所有檔案。
• AOL System Message 是 AOL 曾經傳送給您的一些警告訊息，您可以使用 Sink 將這一些檔案清除。
