CS 240 - Intro to Discrete Mathematics Spring 2011

Announcements

4/28:	Dieter will have additional office hours on Monday, 5/2, 3:00-5:00pm. There will be two (identical) review sessions for the final exam, namely on Monday, 5/9, and on Tuesday, 5/10, each day from 7:15pm till 9:15pm, in room 1325 CS. The final exam itself will be Wednesday, 5/11, from 10:05am till 12:05pm, in our lecture room (1351 Chemistry).
3/11:	The second midterm will be in-class and consist of two parts. The first part takes place during the lecture of Tuesday 3/22, and covers the material of HW 4 and HW 5; the second part takes place during the lecture of Thursday 3/24, and covers the material of HW 4, HW 5, and HW 6. There will be two (identical) review sessions in CS 1325 on Monday 3/21, 5-7pm and 7-9pm. Dieter's office hours that week will be taken over by Dalibor. There will also be additional office hours: Roger on Tuesday 3/22, 2:30-3:30pm, Dalibor on Wednesday 3/23, 9:30-10:45am, and Roger on Wednesday 3/23, 2:30-3:30pm.
2/25:	The deadline for HW 4 has been extended till Thursday 3/3 at the beginning of class.
2/18:	The midterm exam of Wednesday 2/23 will take place 7:15-9:15pm in our lecture room (Chemistry 1351). The material consists of lectures 2 through 7. The review sessions will be Monday 2/21 and Tuesday 2/22, 5-7pm in CS 1325.
2/8:	The first midterm is postponed till Wednesday, 2/23.
2/4:	The coming week, Roger will have an extra office hour M 2/7, 11am-noon, in 1308 CS, and Dalibor will have one T 2:30-3:30pm in 3397 CS.
2/3:	The rescheduled discussion sections this Friday, 2/4, will be held in the same rooms as where they are normally held.
2/1:	Due to the blizzard, the discussion sections for this Wednesday, 2/2, are postponed till this Friday, 2/4. The rooms may differ from the usual ones, and will be announced later. As everyone should have a chance to attend a discussion section before turning in the assignment, the deadline for HW 1 is postponed till Tuesday, 2/8, at the beginning of class. HW 2 will still be assigned this Thursday, 2/3, and will be due one week later.
1/25:	The first assignment is on-line and is due 2/3 at the beginning of class. There will be no class on 1/27. Dieter's office hours on 1/25-27 are taken over by Dalibor.
1/20:	On 1/21 Nilay's office hours will only start at 10:00am rather than 9:00am. See here for the full schedule with contact hours.
1/18:	The discussion sections will only start the week of 1/24.
