On Saturday morning, we climbed with our campsite mate, a local named Raleigh Collins. We went over to the Peyote Cracks formation and toproped Baby Apes, 5.12c/d. It was one of the most fun climbs I've ever been on. Here's Kevin under the roof, just before the classic "ape move."

Kevin is now set up for the ape move. Without the rope, this could be that picture of John Bachar.

My turn to try it. The photography isn't bad, considering Kevin was also belaying. He would yell at me to hold it, I'd stop, and he would lock me off with one hand and snap a shot with the other.

Now I'm into the crux section above the roof.
