Permanent Coffee Stain

I got this cool book in the mail today. Its called Permanent and it features artwork from some incredible web designer\artists, like Scien & Klor, Rinzen, Dave Kinsey and Justin Fox. The book was produced by the beautiful people of Design is Kinky. My favorite part of the book, is the included cd that has some of the source files that the artists used in the creation of their pieces.

What season is this?
I was determined to not post about the weather, because usually the talking about the weather is usually just to kill time. However this past week MPLS has been bombarded with the craziest weather that I or anyone else can remember. On Monday (4/15) we sort of skipped spring went right into July-like weather with 91 degree weather!! Then on Sunday (4/21) we went back in time a few months when a few inches of snow fell on the metro area! I cant believe that its possible that our weather can switch between two extremes so suddenly. Maybe this is just mother nature trieing to balance everything out a bit..

Take two earplugs and call me in the morning

Its been a while since I went to a show. So this weekend I decided to make up for a month without live music by getting tickets for three shows, 2 of which are hip hop shows and if I know anything about hip hop, its that one hip hop show is worth two any-other-genre shows along the lines of length and intensity. So this weekends players include a usual suspect, the Eternal Reflection and a psychadela-pop-pseven-piece (give or take a couple musicians). Heres the break-down,
Friday: SAGE (Francis) and atmosphere
Saturday: Of Montrael
Sunday: Talib Kweli and Blackalicious
all shows within the 1st Ave - 7th St Entry complex. Now all I need to do is find a spot to put my sleepin bag.
