Sweet!...?
Sweet is a word I like to use. I use it to express approval, for instance:
Joe:"Guess what, I got a job today"
Jordan: "Sweet!"

or

Evan: "Hey"
Jordan: "Hey"
Jordan: "Wha sup with you?"
Evan: "Wellstone is up by 7 points"
Jordan: "Sweet!"

or

Ben: "Yo dog"
Jordan: "eh"
Ben: "Yo, Echo just caught a bunny"
Jordan: "Sweet!" (there are too many bunnies in this city)

anyways, today I was wondering, if anyone has registered sweet.com so I typed it into my browser. To my suprise it points to my splash page?! I have no idea why sweet.com is pointed at my website. Of course I could be wrong, this doesn't make any sense, what happens when you guys go to sweet.com?permanent link

A Wild and Crazy Summer
The last few weeks have been incredibly hectic. I'll try to summerize the events in one big post:

So for the past couple months I've been working on this interactive ( the project wouldn't be interesting without a buzz word to describe it) web-like Curriculum Guide for the nice folks at the Tommy G. Thompson State Hatchery of Spooner, Wisconsin. I made a big push at the end of June to get it completed, before my trip to California. Its a few weeks later and the project is about 95% completed.
I flew out to San Francisco on July 2nd via the rejuvenated Sun Country airlines (welcome back), who after 9/11 was forced to halt operations.

from flight 192.

Mr. Alvarado picked me up from the airport and we then headed for the city. Hit up Pier 39, ate clam chowder ( "Chow-dair", "say -it!") while sitting next to the many tourists namely some Brits (I could tell based on the David Beckham mohawk) and some Aussies (the blond-hair + the outback hats gave them away). Actually it was the accents not the looks that confirmed my assumptions. Then after wandering about the city for a couple of hours we hopped on BART and headed to the east bay.

The next day we headed to Stockton and hung out with Kelly and Damion and had a blast. The following day we began our quest to drive across the western half of the US. One interesting note about Montana, we could not find a whole hotel room because and I quote a Motel 6 employee: "the whole State is booked this evening". which would been ok except we learned this fact at about 1 am after driving for 17 hours straight. Apparently a Bowlers Convention and a Jehovahs Witness convention had taken over the Montana's hospitality industry. Oh I almost forgot, we saw Yellowstone on our way to Montana, which I must say is nearly the finest National Park (up there with Glacier and Banff) I have ever been to and well worth the $20 price of admission.

Yellowstone

Luckily we found a hotel in Wyoming at about three in the morning. The next day we drove across the Wyoming hit the Bandlands in South Dakota and arrived back in the Twin Cities just before before my bed time (~1am).

Badlands

Trip stats:
States driven across: 7 (3 time zones)
Miles Driven: 1978
# photos taken : 80 (should have taken a lot more)
# of Birds that flew into and bounced off of speeding automobile: 2
$ spent at a Jackpot, Nevada casino : 2
$ won at a Jackpont, Nevada casino : 0
# locked out of our lodging fiascos: 1
# times heard Nelly's Hot in Herre: ~70

Since Ive been back, We've been to 2 concerts: Weezer and The White Stripes, both shows were great I highly recommend going to see both bands live. We also threw a kick ass party to kick off the unofficial beginning of summer.
The last few days have been signifigantly calmer, and I'll return to blogging on a (almost) daily basis.
